Red Carpet is one of the best know trails in Victoria, with recent upgrades we'll be seeing new times set. Down down down...

  • Style: Super D (Time Trail)
  • Approx Average time: 11 - 20 minutes
  • Course Length: 5km
  • Approx Start time: 1pm Saturday (15 minutes after you finish stage 2)
  • Strava Link
  • GPX File - Stage 2 & 3

There are many reasons people come to Forrest, but certainly one of the main ones is "Red Carpet".

In it's short life, this little trail has become an icon of Australian Mountain Biking. Whilst it's not particularly steep, or long it will certainly give you back as much as you give out!

Stage Three will begin right where stage two ends. Riders will be sent off in 30 second intervals in the same order in which they finished the Hill Climb.  "Red Carpet" has gone through a lot of work in recent times, so it will be very interesting to see if we can see a new fastest time.

With a chip timing system on hand, here is your chance to finally post a fast time down this famous trail.  However half way down there is a surprise short road section (dirt), which also "kinda" goes up hill a little.  This small section could be the decider as to who takes out line honours and bragging rights for Stage 3 of the Forrest Festival.

Your ride will end some 10-20 minutes later at the bottom of Henigan Cresent, where once again a short ride up to the town will find you plenty of food and drink to chill out, chat and compare notes with fellow riders.
